How much does it cost to come along to a market?

Entry for shoppers: Adults £1.50

 

Children of all ages free.

Secondhand Stall: £18

Business 'information only' stall: £20

Craft stall: £20

Business sales stall: £25

Secondhand for Charity stall: £8

I have reserved a stall but have not yet paid. What happens if I change my mind, or want to change to a different market?

If you have not yet paid, you may pull out or change markets. Please bear in mind that invoices have to be paid within 7 days of issue, and that stalls are booked on a first come, first served basis.

I have booked and paid for a stall but now have to cancel. Can I get a refund?

Stall bookings cancelled less than 7 days before the event will not be refunded. We may consider transfer to another market, pending availability and circumstance. Stall holders who do not attend the market they paid for, will not receive a refund.

Do I definitely need to bring clothes rails to display my clothes?

You don’t have to, but they really help to display items at their best, and also give you a lot more room on your table for other items. If you don’t have one already they are really easy to find in larger retailers eg Argos, Ikea, Home Bargains from as little as £6.99.

How do I hire a clothes rail from Kidsmarkets?

You can hire a clothes rail from Kidsmarkets for £3 - just tick the box on your booking form, or let us know before the market day. We only have a limited number of rails available, and we can only hire out one per stall.

Each stall area is approximately 2.5m x 1.5m. Here’s good way to estimate how much you can fit into this space; get a newspaper, open it up and place 4 sheets side by side on the floor, so that the top of the paper meets the bottom of the next piece ( ie each piece is portrait not landscape). This is about the size of the table top, and you’ll be able to put small items in front and a clothes rail or larger item to each side.

How much stuff can I fit onto my stall?
I make jewellery which would really appeal to the mums attending the Kidsmarkets. Can I have a craft stall?

Kidsmarkets are for the sale of items which are specifically relating to maternity, babies, toddlers, and children up to the age of 7 years. Stalls selling items such as jewellery, or similar items which appeal to all types of women, would not be accepted. Kidsmarkets organisers reserve the right to decide whether a business or craft stall is suitable for attendance.

I am a seller and would like to promote the market, could I have some flyers mailed to me?

Of course! Please email your postal address & name to us and we will send you a batch of around 30 flyers. If you would like more flyers, just let us know.

Why are most Kidsmarkets only an hour and a half long? Wouldn't it be better to sell for longer?

We've tried holding markets for a longer period of time, but it seems 90 minutes is about right. Most buyers tend to turn up early to get a good look at what's on sale and so longer markets can mean a longer quiet period at the end.

Can I put my company banner up on the wall behind my stall?

Please don’t attach anything to the walls of the venue. You may use pop up/ stand up banners behind the table, or attach a banner to the front of the table.

Yes! Sign up to our mailing list to find out all the latest news, including new market dates.

I bought an item through Kidsmarkets which has since broken. Can I get a refund, or contact the seller?

Although we will do our best to ensure the standard of items for sale at our markets or online are high, it is up to the buyer to ensure that you are happy with the item you are purchasing before any money changes hands. This applies whether from a second hand or business stall at a market, or if the sale was via our online sales pages. Kidsmarkets cannot be held responsible for the condition of any item that has been bought at one of our events or online, and will not refund for items, or pass on the contact details of any stall holder.

Lots of my customers are young families. Can I have a stall to promote my business?

Only if the service you provide is directly related to expectant parents, maternity, babies or children. Kidsmarkets organisers reserve the right to decide whether a business or craft stall is suitable for attendance

I am a local buiness which appeals to families and children. Can I sell my items via the online sales pages

The online sales pages can be used to sell new items, but you will have to list them individually.

I had a stall at a Kidsmarkets sale but didn't sell my buggy. How much does it cost to list it on the Online Sales page?

It is free for previous stallholders to list items on the online sales page, but please keep it to the larger items only. eg - buggies, high chairs, walkers, sterilisers etc. Please email to ask if you have a query.
